Jurkin ranks as one of the top Class of 2012 basketball prospects on the circuit. Jurkin, who hails from the Sudan, is a long and highly mobile post who makes his greatest impact defensively with his rebounding and shot-blocking skills. Jurkin competed on the travel team circut on an Indiana Elite team that also featured Indiana targets D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera (North Central) and Hanner Parea. Jurkin is the first commitment in Indiana's 2012 recruiting class.
